One day Walter Bacon rode his horse and buggy to visit his brother Herbert Bacon
and family. From there he went to Bryant Pond Village to visit Alton Bacon son of Herbert.
After a nice visit he went to the barn to get his horse and buggy to return home only to find that
his horse had died. Needless to say you can imagine all the problems this caused. They had to bury a horse and he needed to get home but he didn't have a horse any more.
